ACTIVITIES
Conveniently located on the border of Dubai Marina,
just nearby the vibrant Zero Gravity, Skydive Dubai Palm
Drop Zone offers a tandem skydiving experience, as
well as solo skydiving and even skydiving school with
coaching on formation skydiving, free-fly, canopy, and
wingsuit coaching.
This dropzone is one of two Skydiving drop zones in
Dubai, the other one being the Desert Drop zone in
Dubai – Al Ain Road.
Fly on water
You could hire a paddle board or surfboard to splash
about on the glittering waters of the Arabian Gulf, but if
you’re looking for speed and excitement then put on a
jetpack. Flyboarding is an intense watersport experience
involving a jet turbine that propels you on a connected
board at speeds of up to 40kph through the air and
back down underwater. However, despite how it sounds,
it’s surprisingly easy to master. More experienced
board sports enthusiasts can also try Hoverboarding –
essentially surfing on a jet-propelled skateboard that
can climb up to 5m.
A diving facility in Dubai has broken records after it was
crowned the world’s deepest swimming pool. Deep
Dive Dubai, which contains enough fresh water to fill six
Olympic-size swimming pools, contains a sunken city
at 60 metres underwater. It’s the latest record-breaking
attraction for the country, which also boasts the world’s
largest shopping mall and the tallest building, the Burj
Khalifa. However, the company does not recommend
customers go to the top of the skyscraper straight after
a dive, encouraging divers to wait 18 to 24 hours before
ascending beyond 1,000 feet.
